Children At Risk

Cambodia is quickly changing and the children & youth are the future of this nation. 42% of the current population in Cambodia is under the age of 15.We have the chance to see this nation changed in just one generation as we disciple the children around us. Our staff partner with outreach teams to invest into these children. We are currently going out to five different villages and slums weekly and holding children's programs teaching hundreds of children and their families about the love & ways of Jesus. We get to love them and be loved by them. As our relationships with the families grow we're then honored to count them as our friends and share more and more of our lives with each other. We want to help this next generation of Cambodian’s see their nation change.

Jeevit’s House
In December 2007 we met one nameless orphan with AIDS at a local orphanage after her mother died. We named her Jeevit, which in Cambodian means "life", not realizing that day how much meaning the name held for our sweet girl.

Despite overwhelming odds against her, and even medical professionals concluding that it was only a matter of time before she died, yet she refused to quit fighting for her life. God heard our prayers as we cried out for healing and today she is as alive and mischievous as any other 4 year old we know. She lives at a wonderful facility in Phnom Penh.

All around us are children in circumstances similar toJeevit’s was. So many children are orphaned, or in families that are struggling just to eat. They deserve so much more. God has given us the opportunity and privilege to show these children the riches of his love and compassion.

Jeevit’s House was founded in March of 2010 in Battambang, Cambodia as a Children at Risk project under the University of the Nations, Cambodia, a Ministry of YWAM International. The mission is to see children who are affected by HIV/AIDS provided for, trained and equipped for an amazing future

We come alongside families affected by AIDS and help them to stay together by helping to meet daily needs such as ensuring the children get proper nourishment, making sure those who are sick attend doctor’s visits, and offering a safe place where our community can spend time and share their lives with each other and with us. We are investing into their lives because we believe that every single life matters. In extreme circumstances we can also provide short-term housing for children until they are able to return home or be placed in foster care. Keep up to date with us at: http://jeevitshouse.org/
