Foundational Values

1. God must build this house and ministry. This requires us to seek Him for every detail about everything. (Psalm 127:1-2, YWAM value #3, vision of a sounding board = a term used to describe a person whose beliefs and reactions serve as an indicator of their walk with Jesus and command of His word)

2. Intercession is a must (1 Timothy 2:1-4, 8), especially in the early years of this ministry, along with worship, fasting, and being led by the Holy Spirit as priorities in our daily lives. (Luke 12:12, John 14:26, 1Thessalonians 1:5, YWAM value #4)

3. God is calling this ministry, and everyone involved, to walk in a high level of holiness, and righteousness, fearing Him. (Psalm 112, Proverbs 23:18-19, Exodus 34:6-11, YWAM value #1)

4. As we walk in the characteristics listed in #3, God will make this place His sanctuary. His presence will be so consuming that His ministry in this place will become a lighthouse to the nations. (Hebrews 12:28-29, YWAM value #2, vision of this house burning in His glory and anointing)

5. In order to see #4 come to pass, we must create an environment where people feel welcome and no one is turned away. We must treat people like we would treat Jesus when they come here. Hospitality is key! (Matthew 25:35-40, YWAM value #17)

6. God is calling this house to be a place of opportunity. We must all be available to provide opportunities in the way that God is leading, whether it is to teach a Bible class, disciple an individual, spend time at the hospital, or just answer questions about Jesus. This will help us influence more spheres of society and show people that God has a special plan for them. (Jeremiah 29:11, YWAM value #9)

7. This place is called to be a house FOR the nations; a house that has extreme passion for the nations. It is also a door TO the nations; and, specifically a key for SE Asia. (Matthew 28:18-20, YWAM value #8)

8. Pioneering to pioneer is God’s calling on this place. This will happen by hard-core discipleship, training, equipping, and mobilizing, specifically the Khmer. This also includes peoples from other nations and will result in the multiplication of pioneering new ministries. (Acts 6:7, YWAM value #5)

9. We are called to focus on the youth. Recently the government released a statistic that said: 80% of the Cambodian population is under the age of 30. Restoration, redemption, and revival are on God’s heart for this nation. He has a purpose and destiny for Cambodia and the people here. God is going to raise up young Khmer leaders that will influence all spheres of society and change this nation within one generation! (Genesis 50:21-21, 1 Timothy 4:12, YWAM value #6, vision of a foot with a spring under it)

10. We are called to actively network with and serve the local churches and ministries. We are to walk in high levels of unity as staff. That requires openness, honesty, transparency, and humility. God wants to build unity within His body in this city, province, nation, and region. (Ephesians 4:1-5, Psalm 133:1, vision of a clogged water hose, YWAM values #9 & 13)

11. We are called to radical levels of obedience (Genesis 22:1-19). This requires risk-taking (Judges 5:18, Acts 15:26). We must expect God to move. Jesus believes in us, trusts us, and has released us. (Matthew 28:18-20)

12. Generosity is critical for acting against the spirit of greed that consumes this land. (Psalm 112, Acts 2:44-45, YWAM value #17)

13. We must be confident and believe in the work God is doing through this ministry. We must run with Him and for Him. (1 Corinthians 15:58)
