The Youth Center is a place for Cambodian young people to be equipped with practical tools, such as English as a Second Language, that will help them in their lives. However, much more importantly, the main purpose of the Youth Center is to help the youth build godly relationships and for the staff/teachers to share God’s love with the students and disciple them in His ways.

God has taught us to create an environment at the Youth Center where the youth feel welcome. Everyday hundreds of youth, most of whom do not know Jesus, are welcomed here. We understand that many of the youth that come here are drawn in by the educational opportunities that are offered; however, we see that the relationships and discipleship are what keeps them coming. God’s heart is for these youth to become serious and committed followers of Him, and we have seen several students become just that. Several students have also gone on to study in the Discipleship Training School here in Battambang. While we teach English and other subjects to the best of our abilities, our unified focus is to see young people’s lives transformed by the truth and love of God. That is what is valuable and eternal.

All classes, regardless of subject, are centered on Jesus. Also our godly lifestyles and choices are the best tools for evangelism and discipleship, so we encourage all teachers to conduct themselves in a godly way, full of integrity and love.

God’s good work in Cambodia is growing rapidly, and through that, God has given us huge vision for this Youth Center. We believe His work through this Youth Center will spread across the entire nation of Cambodia and that new Youth Center’s will be pioneered in other areas. God wants to redeem and restore this nation, and the Youth Center is one tool in God’s hands that He is using to glorify His name here in Cambodia.
